The introduction of the TSUYOSA collection marked a significant milestone in CITIZEN’s range, as it heralded a phase in which CITIZEN began using stainless steel for its watches—a unique feature, as many other affordable watches at the time were still made of brass. The TSUYOSA series in steel was not only more robust but also more elegant, and stood out for its fine finish. This included a filigree surface finish on the top of the case, which formed an attractive contrast to the highly polished bezel and the middle links of the bracelet. The models became well known for their luxurious design and meticulous attention to detail, and were particularly popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Design
The design of these watches is classic yet sporty and modern. The vibrant colours of the dials immediately catch the eye and make the watch a real eye-catcher on the wrist. The strap is inspired by 1970s design.
Material
The watch case and bracelet are made from high-quality stainless steel. High-gloss elements create highlights on the otherwise matt brushed material. The sunray dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a magnifying glass above the date. The case back is also made of glass, allowing a view of the movement inside.
Technology
The new NJ015* series is equipped with the mechanical caliber 8210. With 21 jewels and a frequency of 21,600 A/h, the movement offers a power reserve of 40 hours and a precision of +/-20 seconds/day. The discreet crown has been moved to the 4 o’clock position on this series.
